| Birth Control Murder Cloaked as Prudence Not all birth control is murder. Barrier type birth control is simply telling God to mind his own business (a bold move unless evolution is actually true). Oral contraceptives were introduced with the assertion that they prevented ovulation. In reality that may have been one of the mechanisms of the early formulations. However, those pills had such a high dose of hormones that women were having severe side effects such as blood clots. Over the years the dosages have been reformulated such that the mechanism of preventing embryo implantation by a thicker mucosal lining may now be the primary mechanism, which is abortion. Some tell themselves that life does not begin at conception. However, from a biblical perspective Elizabeth felt John the Baptist’s leap within her upon the arrival of her newly pregnant cousin Mary. This indicates that Jesus was considered deity at his conception. It should not be a surprise that parents kill their children for convenience and tell themselves all sorts of reasons why this is a good idea.  In the movie “Overboard” Goldie Hawn playing a wealthy character, calls her mother and asks if she should have a baby. The mother responds, “If you have a baby, you won’t be the baby.” This captures some of the human dilemma. If we have children we are almost forced to give up some of the selfishness that defines our own childhood. In a prosperous society that cherishes self-indulgence, it should not be surprising that children would be seen as an intolerable inconvenience. Pregnancy is often the result of playing with fornication. Many do not even realize they are pregnant when an embryo is prevented from attaching to the uterus.  Satan accomplishes a lot with this one tactic. For example, the college freshman girl who is seduced by Thanksgiving and pregnant by Christmas can see an abortion in January as her only hope to hide her secret shame. Bitter ever afterwards, she may become one of the most vocal advocates for what she calls “abortion rights” because she feels it “saved” her. By using a post Christian culture like America, Satan is able to trick people into thinking that they have no need to protect their women and girls because we are not like those countries with leering rapists behind every corner. In addition to the murder of children, Satan is able to cripple many girls with secret shame (if not for fornication, then shame for simply being naive). He may also gauge the effectiveness of his deceptions as to how many believe life does not begin at conception or how many think oral contraception does not involve abortion. |
