| Free Will (Making Ill-informed Choices) A creator would be faced with a couple of choices. Firstly do you create creatures that reproduce themselves or do you make them all at once. Christianity asserts that the angels were made all at once and humans were made to reproduce themselves. The second choice is if you make the created beings obedient or allow them to have free will. Evolution can be attractive because it gives us the idea that we are free from any responsibility and can do whatever we please. It is attractive and one can understand why some would hold to it so strongly. It can perhaps explain that in addition to creating humans who chose to go their own way, God also created angels, some of whom also chose to go their own way. That Satan would be attracted to an opportunity he saw to be free from restraint might explain why he continues to herd humans into an arrangement that would better suit his plans. Jesus described Satan as the father of lies which suggests his primary mode of operation, lies. Apparently for now Satan is limited to using information as his primary means of interacting with humans. By starting with vulnerable humans he is able to slowly create social currents that draw in more and more people to work to advance his plans. He has been so effective that this book is now necessary to try to show some that they themselves have been led to accept and even promote that which is against their own best interests.  From a tactical point of view Satan would have to create situations where people would make choices based on what appears advantageous. This requires skill at deception. There are sayings that represent common encounters with deceptions. For example, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.  In order for Satan to get people to make poor choices, he often cloaks them as choices that will feel good. This is in contrast to choices that are complex or require analysis. Evolution is perhaps a good starting point to layout some of Satan’s methods as they will also come into play with other issues we have come to accept that also need to be exposed to truth. |
